Celebration Ministries
God’s greatest commandment tells us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37). This is God’s priority, so it is our priority at Trinity Baptist. We are on a journey to discover a true passion. A passion for the presence of God, and a passion for people that are lost. Our Celebration Choir is a key component to our worship journey, and along the way, we’re encouraging other to join us. Each Wednesday night, we gather for our ministry preparation. If you have been a part of a choir in the past, or are considering being a part of one for the very first time, come join us. We meet at 7:00 PM in the Music Suite. “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and the harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with high sounding cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:3-6 NKJV)And so we do. The instrumental music team at Trinity offers many opportunities for instrumental musicians to worship as they play their instruments.
We are always seeking new musicians to join us in lifting loud praises to our Lord, so please contact the Worship and Music Ministry office if you play a standard orchestral or contemporary band instrument and are interested in joining us.
- Celebration Handbells . . .
The primary handbell group functions under the name of the Celebration Ringers. Their goal is “to touch hearts for the Glory of God with meaningful handbell presentations. To that end, we select music with a positive message of inspiration and hope. We minister to each other in times of need and pray fervently for His guidance and wisdom in our daily lives. We aim to set a positive example of quality musicianship each time we ring.” Prior ringing experience is helpful, but not essential, as the ability to read music. The Celebration Ringers currently meet on Sunday afternoons 4:00 PM. This is a seasonal group that meets September through May. For more information, contact the Worship & Music Ministries office. Anyone age 55+ is invited to attend a special organization party and music preview with THE J.O.Y. SINGERS from 6 - 7:30 PM in the Music Suite. This fun group will meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. We will be singing the gospel-style music like the Highway to Heaven, When They Call My Name, Oh! What A Time . . . and more. Currently the group is working on a 1940’s style dinner theatre project. The only qualification to join is a love to sing gospel music and your age is 55+. Come give us a try.
